Conversations About Health and Wellness Can Be Challenging
Everywhere—at home or work; in physicians' offices, hospitals, clinics and pharmacies; in schools and universities—people and professionals are engaged in challenging health and wellness conversations.
- How do I motivate my patient to follow my treatment recommendations?
- How do I talk to my spouse about PTSD?
- How do I support a student struggling with psychological distress or thoughts of suicide?
- How do I engage a family member, loved one or caregiver in helping my young patient fight obesity?
- How do I talk to my child about alcohol?
- How do I help a senior manage their chronic disease, adhere to their medications and reduce their hospital admissions?
At the core of everything we do is a challenging conversation about health. Kognito drives positive change in health behaviors through the use of immersive learning experiences with virtual humans. Each conversation experience simulates the interactions and behaviors of practicing health professionals, patients, caregivers, students and educators in real life situations.
Science Driven Conversations with Virtual Humans
Our core approach is based on research in neuroscience, social cognition and game mechanics. Users move through realistic scenarios at an individual pace. They practice and role-play real life situations by talking with virtual humans, building their skills in motivational interviewing and other evidence-based communication techniques.
Kognito learning experiences address chronic disease, PTSD, behavioral health, suicide prevention, substance abuse, screening and brief intervention and social change, among others. Our clients include more than 450 organizations in 43 states and represent a growing list of state and local health agencies, divisions of Veterans Affairs and the Department of Defense, American Academy of Pediatrics, NAMI, universities and schools, hospitals and NGOs.
Research Proven Approach
Kognito is committed to research and outcomes. We partner with academic, government and health system delivery entities for research and validation. We also author and publish original research.
